September Pavilion Update

Great news! We are making tremendous progress toward our goal of raising $108,500 to build the pavilion at Katie’s Landing!!! Through Sept. 20, we have raised just over $58,000, which includes an in-kind donation of $1,500 from Seminole County for waiving the permit fee. We are expecting a couple of sizable donations soon that will move us closer to our goal.

Once we raise $80,000, we plan to order the pavilion kit. And at that point, the FOWR board also committed to donate $15,000 toward the pavilion. We believe the pavilion will be a place for canoers and kayakers to rest as they travel the river, and also an excellent place for FOWR programs for the public.

We need your help in making this a reality! If you want to help, please go to Paypal and designate your donation for the Katie’s Landing Pavilion. A huge thank-you to those who have already supported this effort!
