Katie’s Landing Pavilion Update

We’re getting so close! Board members are continuing to finalize the long process of permitting and should be able to order the kit soon. Additional engineering information and approval forms are being prepared and submitted to supplement the permit application. Building on state park grounds requires many hoops but we’re so grateful for our pavilion committee and for all the other players for their role in making this happen. Thanks again too, for everyone who donated towards this project and your patience in waiting for it’s debut! We’ll have more to report in December.

In the meantime, the Park Service is looking for an important, short-term volunteer! For the next 2 months an on-site Park Camp volunteer host is needed to watch over the property (Katie’s Landing) until the position is officially filled at the beginning of the year. For more information please contact Emily Scalco, Wekiva Springs Park Volunteer Coordinator at Emily.scalco@floridadep.gov
